EBMM Bass on Japanese Anime

Guys! Guys! have u guys ever watched a japanese anime or at least read the manga about the journey of a band called 'beck'? well i saw the bassist of the band wearing a EBMM bass as his gear. i'm not sure that it's a sterling or stingray. it's blue white. i wasn't a MM mania yet back then so i didn't really notice what series was that. any of you guys would enlighten me?

this is an anime cartoon created by musician beck. i'm from canada and this plays weekly on muchmusic (the canadian version of mtv).

in the series there's a touchin' mellow song entittled... damn it! i forgot. here's the lyric, "what a fool... i don't know 'bout tomorrow. what it's like to be. i was fool etc..." that taira-kun is really a cool music man
