I assume you're talking about the little brown packs that are in the case? As long as the guitar is in a fairly well controlled environment like your house I would go ahead and either get rid of it or toss it in the box in case you ever need to ship the guitar anywhere. I think the packs are really to keep the moisture down during shipping since the guitar is going to be in cargo trucks or cargo holds of planes where they are exposed to fluctuating temperature and humidity levels.
Ha ha, yes it is Jack. Although I was in China not too long ago and a coworker put a package of it on his fries thinking it was salt and not having a clue how to read the label. He thought it tasted weird, but ate most of them before he was stopped. . .
Sorry guys, silica beads are totally safe, even though they say do not eat. My kid ate a bag once, and I freaked out, and then found out it's just like eating some sand.
