I saw a brand spanking new Axis yesterday, and noticed that the Floyd hardware (pivot screws, fine tuner screws and string lock screws) are no longer black, but sort of a silvery gloss black that I believe is called titanium nitride. It sounds like a small thing, but visually, it just popped, and made the guitar look even cooler and sleeker.
I was wonderng if there is a technical or business reason for this change, or does it just look cooler (it does).
