Really into the idea of a Classic. I'm constantly tuning off the "edge" off of my 3EQ Ray anyways, so I think I would really dig this bass. That said, I really love the gunstock oiled unfinished necks of the regular rays. I strongly prefer this to any lacquered or painted neck...

So... It seems to me I've seen a random Classic or two with a non lacquered neck... Maybe? Any help appreciated!

If I read you halfway correctly, I gotta say, well, of course. Why not ?

Fatbassman... In the first year of production for Stingray Classics, they we offered in standard and deluxe models... The standard had the oil finish you are speaking of while the deluxe had the full gloss. Pretty rare to see one come up for sale but I am guessing not impossible to find. Happy hunting. JOSH
