Question EBMM Custom Shop?

Would anyone else love to order their dream EBMM? I would gladly pay 4000-5000 for a CS instrument by EBMM. Other shops like Jackson, Fender, ESP, Schecter, etc... do it so maybe EB will do it too? (hint hint)

Anyways if you could order one what would your dream specs be. For me it would be:

JP shape
7 strings
Gotoh 510s
Jumbo frets instead of medium
BKP VHII neck and BKP Coldsweat bridge
5 way split
Slightly fatter than normal neck, with no assym
ebony fb
Tangerine finish

What about you guys?

if money was not an option and Sterling would let me order any guitar possible...

i would probably do some sort of trans flame maple silhouette special.

and a highly flamed roasted maple neck...

colorwise i'd probably do maybe a trans sunburst or a solar burst... but all other features would be identical to what they produce now... i just love my silo spec.

But the way you buy a Music Man now it to call Pete DuBaldo.....tell him exactly what you want and within reason, MM builds it to your specs. Yes, they do limit some things, but that's why a used Music Man's value doesn't go into the toilet if you later decide to sell it like a Carvin would. I mean, worst case.....if you absolutly MUST have some option that MM doesn't offer, buy something close and then bring the guitar to a luthier to customize it to your liking. I would think that even then, it would cost less than $4k-$5k.

I've seen custom shop guitars from the big manufacturers. To me, they are exactly like their run-of-the-mill guitars with perhaps a custom color, body/neck combo that's not offered on their guitars that they sell a bazillion a day of and custom shop labels on them. I don't see why that's worth double the price.

I can say that the build quality and attention to detail that I've seen on EBMM guitars is better than that of my custom shop strat.

I am actually glad that EBMM does NOT have a custom shop. Because I think I would seriously go broke and/or end up divorced if that were the case.

I am a huge fan of the guitar center special limited edition runs that have happened with the LUKE 1 reissue and the Sillouette classic reissues recently.

Now a tangerine luke 1 reissue with a FLOYD FLOYD FLOYD bridge would cause me to bust out the visa most likely.

EBMM has plenty of choices and ways to configure guitars, I have a nice PDN green sparkle coming that I set the specs on so basically a CS guitar, they are not going to use a bunch of parts and pieces that are not common to their guitars,

for instance this ---BKP VHII neck and BKP Coldsweat bridge

I'm happy, too. The standard models play like custom shops guitars.

Plus, they switch up the options enough to keep it interesting. For example, the Luke 3's Olive Gold color is gone, but now you can get Bodhi Blue.
