not only do the have rows of strats and LPs, they also have rows of £3000+ PRS. They are the same PRS that I've always seen there so they obviously don't sell them. Jamie Humphries is a EBMM endorsee and is also a tutor at ACM (a music college in Guildford for all you yanks) so the students have EBMMs thrust in their faces all the time.

I would have thought Andertons would have got rid of their, unsuccessful, PRS line and replaced it with EBMM

Hi all, as a UK based EBMM fan can I add my bit. I know all these shops well (except the place in Oxford - Must go soon!)

I was looking for a new Pet in January and had a hell of a time finding one. Andertons will order stuff in (I got my Axis there in '98) but as said before, stocks nothing.

The only places that were any help (and not much) were Regent Sound in Denmark Street that usually have a couple of balls in (but no Pets when I was looking), and the Bass Centre in Wapping, but again I think they would only get stuff in when ordered.

I think Holiday Music in Leytonstone have one or two on the wall, but not many.

I ended up ordering from Guitars4u in Derbyshire. Thankfully my Mystic Dream was perfect when it arrived, but it kinda takes the fun out of buying a guitar when the postman delivers it!

Let's badger them 'till they stock 'em!!!;)

PS Agree about the PRS's in Andertons. They don't seem to move very quickly!

Sound Control and GuitarGuitar should be able to get you an EBMM guitar no probs.

I spoke to Sound Control on Saturday (I have 2 local branches in Leeds) - not a single 6 string EBMM in stock at any of their 25 branches!!! That's one hell of a dealer.

Electro music in Doncaster had 3 or 4, but the guy I spoke with although very friendly, did say that nobody there knew much about them as they were a bit 'specialist'. In answer to the question - "Does your Silo' have a piezo?" I got.... "erm, probably - how would I tell?"

It takes some digging, but it's worth it in the end.

Sound Control in Glasgow normally have half a dozen EBMM basses downstairs but I've never seen a six stringer. It's kind of funny considering you see the same old PRS customs every time you go in there.SC have a real PRS/Boogie/Taylor roadmap for guitarists with money to spend methinks:(

I used to work in my local music shop and it was myself who persuaded my boss to take on the MM guitars. We didn't do too badly either, selling about a dozen instruments in the year we stocked them(we were a small town shop)Funny thing was that it was split 50/50 between guitars and basses.Guitarists were keen on them when they tried them-it was just getting them to try them and see beyond the whole fender/gibson thing that was the hard part. Those who bought them and gigged them loved 'em.

AS far as Sound Control goes I remember Strings and Thrings insisting that as part of a dealership you HAD to take at least 2 guitars and 2 basses.Maybe SC can get round that by just buying basses for each of their 25 stores.I think I'd be safe saying I cant think of a single store in Scotland stocking the guitars and thats a shame.

I know they also have 2 second hand EVHs and a Luke in Luke Blue as well. Most of teh EBMMs are in their Glasgow store but they will happily shift stock between the three if you're interested and can let them know beforehand. Top bunch of blokes and can't recommend them highly enough:cool:
