Every so often a thread pops up when somebody says "I was dreaming about Music Man guitars again". Well, it's my turn! I don't usually remember my dreams once I'm up and out of bed but this is unusual because the details of the guitars were so clear.
First I was doing an 'Albert Lee challenge' - I had to walk around part of a city with the man himself while playing one of his tunes on one of his guitars (a tasty cream-coloured SSS Al, white pickguard, maple neck). The song for the challenge involved switching pickups and changing the tone control in mid-lick, which was very damn tricky as the selector switch for that particular guitar was mounted on the back pocket of my jeans.
Then I decided that my brothers should have proper guitar so I bought them both a standard Luke in Carbon Blue Pearl with matching headstock (great colour, discontinued a few years ago). And there was a mix up somewhere which resulted in one brother buying his own anyway, which now meant that we had three of 'em! But one of them was missing. And I was all worried because I didn't normally have that kind of money and where the hell did I get it from, if indeed I ever had it in the first place? Will my credit card still work? How did I buy the guitars if I didn't have the money? Why can't I check my bank balance??
I was soon distracted from my money troubles by an orchestra made up a dozen guys playing classic trash metal hits from the 80s on Lukes and JPs, some of the guitars had very cool hand-painted graphics.
The End.
Happy Sunday morning!
