I spoke to the guy at length via email about it last week. I tried to tell him it's not the real thing. He did send me a copy of the GC receipt when it was purchased (used) at a PA GC in 2000. The receipt showed the serial number and a used price of $4800. Nothing about it being Ed's. He bought it from a friend who bought it used from GC. I'm guessing GC got duped on a trade in and sold it under the pretense that it actually had Ed's signature. What bugs me is this guy has been told by me and others here that it's not real yet he relisted it as so anyway. I told the guy he should get it authenticated by a real COA (won't happen) if he wants to sell it as Ed's. I'm reporting it again.

I had a similar email conversation with him. Assuming he is hoping some dumb*$$ will buy it anyway. The real shame here is eBay not doing anything about it after many people reported it.

I don't know, I would not purchase a guitar if EVH (or anyone else) touched it for even ten seconds, nothing special. Unless the guitar sounds good, of course.

I guess eBay finally reacted to the Reports
The Auction has ended with 0 Bids and 1 Dollar. A few Days ago it was over 1200$ or so.
Let's hope he's not gonna try it again. Even though I believe he will...

Now he even included the receipt.
I reported it already. I think he definately got screwed by Guitarcenter if the Bill is real

It sucks that he got screwed in the first place (he should have done his research when buying an item like that), but it doesn't give him any right to sell it fraudulently

The letter from "Starzz" is riddled with typographical and grammatical errors. Certifing? Sounds like sharting and surfing at the same time. I understand that with texting short cuts our spelling skills have grown weaker, but seriously? That authenticating letter is ...Way priceless!

Sweet toe shot in picture 7.

The receipt looks legit... But it says nothing about the guitar other than serial number. The header with store info is conveniently cut off...

Crazy ! He scrubbed off the blatantly obvious FAKE signature , takes some new pics, and puts it back up. Buyer Beware!

I sent him a message and asked why the headstock had a signature now and he said it was always there and that the signature is still on the body. Regardless, this guy knows what's up now and is still trying to pull a fast one in the sale.

After all the messages from people on here he still wants to earn a fast buck by ripping folk off. I would be embarrassed.

We could post and complain but ultimately he will pull off this with some innocent person that will pay too much money for that guitar.

I read this new auction carefully. He is actually legit in this current listing. It's shown as simply an EVH signature model. He wrote nothing about it's past so called life with EVH... Nor did he comment about the extra signature. I think he has legitimized his listing.

...except that he still has the picture to the "Starzz Guitars" sheet, which is honestly the most ridiculous piece of certification I have ever seen.
