hi - i wanted to know if there's a standard setting that is used on markbass amps at the ebmm factory to test out music man basses with? is the eq set to 12 o'clock on all the knobs? where is the vle and vpf knobs set to? i just got a little mark ii and wanted to try the factory setting (if there is one) with my sterling. any user suggestions for settings would be great too - thanks!

Tip: Set amp flat, play the bass, use the eq on the bass (a little goes a long way) and you will find tone for days. Then you got the whole eq on the amp to fine tune sht sound to be exactly what you want it to be.

For testing basses, I set the MarkBass amps controls all flat, which means EQ knobs at 12 o'clock (middle position) and both filters to 7 o'clock (all turned left).

BTW, I don't think basses are "tested" this way in the factory...

I agree I had mine Markbass 210 combo set to flat and actually had the VLE set at about 9pm just to take a little bite out of the highs. My stingray has a maple fretboard so it could get a bit bright.
