here's a song my band wrote that might be interesting. Definitely NOT flashy and I would prefer to have something rockin' on the CD. my band is semi planning to record again in the next couple of months. Is there a time limit on this? If we don't record in time, I guess this song might work.

Well, there appears to be RESOUNDING interest soooo....

I'm going to formulate a gameplan over the weekend (I'm going out of town) and put together a new post for Monday with due dates, formats, etc.

Like I said in the original post however, the biggest unknown is dinero: CD's produced en masse aren't free. I don't want there to be any profit whatsoever, but I also don't want to pay for it myself if ya dig.

So I'm trying to think of some way to do that still...

if you don't want money involved and you have unused server space. Why not just have people submit songs and then host them for download?

I *could* do that, but admit it, it's not nearly as cool as an actual CD with all the forumites songs and liner notes.
