If you don't solo longer, I'll be forced to solo a half-step out of key for the remaining length and tell everyone it was you (ha ha)

Post it, Ivan so i can hear it!

Man, dwells...you were GETTIN' IT! what happened, did your fingers fall off? lol

I'm ready for a new song...who's up for that? Something in BbMaj7 perhaps?

No seriously, maybe a slower groove with a little more breathing room...

Ivan, do you have a sequencer to come up with something or do you want me to do drums again?

Am I the only one with 2 jobs and 4 kids?

Guys, I'm sorry but I won't be able to participate as much as I did on the first track...
Next week I'm starting to record my solo album and I've got a European tour coming up with my band Hard Time.
I hope I'll manage to find the time to record a solo or two every now and then, but I doubt that I will have enough time to record rhythm guitars, keyboards, solos and mix everything.

Ivan, you have done a great job! I appreciate it so much, and I can't wait to hear your solo stuff...Let me know as soon as it's available, and I'll buy a copy from you.
Also, good luck on your tour!
I'll take on the mixing duties, I just won't be able to get to it as quickly as you did.

Best of luck to you!

On one of the other forums I hang out on, there's a cool section called the JamZone. People post backing tracks that they either made themselves, or got somehow, and you d/l the track, record your solo over it, then post the result. It's pretty darn cool to hear a bunch of different takes on the same backing. Then people comment on each other's work, pretty cool. I have collected over 200 backing tracks this way (I only posted a take a few times though), and I'd be happy to share.

Man, that would be great! I have so little time lately to come up with backing tracks.
Do you have one you want to share, and we'll start playing with it?
thanks,
Jeff

What has happened to this thread???
You guys can do it without me, right?
I didn't have much time lately to be very active on the forum because I finally started recording my album!!!
Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to make another backing track, but I'll gladly record a solo once the new track is posted.
And if you ever decide to record a song with vocals, I'd love to sing it for you all...

OK, I'm gonna throw in a pretty big challenge for you all.
Here's a backing track that was posted as a joke in the jam section of a Croatian musician's forum I'm posting on.
It's got an Albanian folk feel to it and I guess that's something you haven't had the opportunity to hear yet (I've never done anything like this before either), but I think that a purpose of jamming over backing tracks is to try to adapt to new musical situations we've never been in before.
Here's the backing track - Backing track

And here's my take - http://www.ivanmihaljevic.com/mp3/mihin_blues_po_zvininom.mp3

Ivan, you suck.
You suck because you're a natural at this whole guitar thing....it probably took you five minutes to learn that melody and post your solo....you also suck because you're probably like 15 years old...
I'm selling my stuff....

I'm not 15, I'm 21 :p

Seriously, I'd like you guys to try to record something over this.
