EBMM JP Picasso (Revived)

Dude, it's been banged around here too. Don't count on it, that was in JP's past and he seems pretty happy with what he's got now.

If you wanna do it, I'm sure there are some great painters out there that would love to take that project on. Norrin, has his Glow in the Dark Green swirl JP and it looks very cool.

What? I wasn't suggesting Musicman offering that as a finish. I just thought it would be a cool thing to get a custom job on, as you said.
 
Yeah. This kind of thing comes up every so often. Some people love the idea. Some people would prefer to "move on." If you want it, do it.
 
no one should ever refinish a musicman guitar, possibly if its been beaten up incredibly bad, but even then that would look cool
 
I think that graphic looks really cool on the EBMM JP shape. No need to move on or worry about refinishing an EBMM guitar. Do what you want. ;)

I have been thinking about buying a seven string and doing this. It has been on my mind since 2002. I want to paint it the p2 colors. I actually got a quote from dan lawrence (which is the original artist for the picasso guitars for Ibanez) about doing one for me. it was about $700 to paint it and that was several years ago. I still have his website and look at it every 6 months or so. All I know is when anybody does this it is going to be bad A$$.
 
Well get a used piece so as not to void any warranties. And like the others have said if you do it, pictures are a must.

Even though i do like the Ibanez picasso JP guitars... I would never touch my Pets....They are perfect as they are.
