New to the forum. Just purchased a used Luke that was given to an artist at the Ernie Ball battle of the bands in 2008. He gigged it at that concert and then stowed it away only playing it a few more times. Im a beginner and this is my first electric guitar. I paid to have it set up because the wound strings were buzzing. I got it back today and the guitar tech said the truss nut/rod was "spinning in the wind" when he tried to loosen it, but said it tightened up ok. He could not add relief to the neck at all, but said relief was over-rated and the guitar plays great as is. Is there something seriously wrong with the truss rod? The guitar is beautiful, the artist said that since it was free to him, he chose to have the metal flake paint upgrade and the headstock painted to match a $300 option. I hope i am posting this correctly in the forum and any replies would be appreciated. Thanks

Without physically having the guitar in front of us anything we can do is at best a guess.

If the wheel was spinning freely then it will need to be checked by the best.

You should call EB's MusicMan Customer Service toll free at 866-823-2255 and they will get you straightened out.
