I disagree.

From what I can see, this trem alleviates the problem of the high E saddle hitting the post when dive-bombing. A problem a few have had.

I can't imagine why they'd change the route on the CNC and machine different hardware just for this one Petrucci.

Although, I could totally be wrong!

Ah...I see the difference now. Instead of the low/high E saddles being even with the trem posts, the posts are now moved out by about 1/4 - 1/2".

Looks to me like the high E post is just moved into the area that used to be the cutout in front of the trem arm. I suspect this probably increases stability and minimizes twisting of the bridge during trem usage...but purely a swag on my part.

Well I doubt any of us actually understand the full function of the Gamechanger and if BP wanted it revealed already he would of let us in on it. But all will be revealed real soon at NAMM, and then I guess we will get to watch the video that will explain it all to us. I am just guessing that it is so innovative that he wants the big splash to be at NAMM which makes sense. I am sure he thought of leaking more about it to us here but to his better judgement did not want it explained second hand all over the web.

As far as the JPXI that will be interesting to see if they keep or discontinue the JPX, though personally I would of liked a different finish but you can never go wrong with black. It also made it sound like the neck got even thinner which was a bummer for me lol as I would like one special JP to give us guys who prefer more chunk on the neck a chance to own a JP that feels comfortable to the thicker neck set. Though I bought my JP6 4 years ago on the blind and knew in a minute I was not crazy for the thin neck I still never offed it as I love everything else about the guitar and do my best to deal with the neck. Maybe John will throw us a bone if they do a JPXIII in two years and put on a chunkier neck for that one as I know I am not the only one dreaming for that.
