was there a NEW spinal tap because i have never seen nigel use the MR Horsepower in the movie i even rewatched it last night ,where was this guitar used with the nigel Character someone please its driving me mad!!!! hahahahahaha

There is a second Spinal Tap film, The Return Of Spinal Tap which is mostly based around a live show at the Royal Albert Hall here in London. Nigel uses Mr Horsepower during the show as well as an Axis/EVH? and a few other tasty guitars (that I can't remember right now).

Not as funny as the original but still well worth a watch if only for the guitar porn on show!:D

i was under the impression that the MR.horsepower 's were maybe 5 years old or so but you mean these 25 Mr Horsepower guitars have been around since 1994 when the 2nd movie came out?

I think the gig filmed for "The Return of" was in 1992? Could be wrong?

when they did the Break like the wind album Luke produced it and recorded it a Jay Graydon's studio Garden Rake. I dropped by and met the lads and ended up talking to Chris (Nigel) about what we could make for them tha would be funny. WE came up with MR Horsepower and Dudley made the guitar in 21 days. He also made a double nec k that has been shown here before.

When they wanted to do a aAnniversary release of Spinal Tap the video company wanted to give out strats and Chris said he would only do it with us and we came up the the plan to make 25 for with all of the proceeds going to the CLB. It was Chris's idea and he and Jaime have been long time supporters of CLB.

It wouldnt be right to the purchasers of the 25 to re release these. maybe the double neck (one neck is electric sitar)

I remember Spinal Tap doing a performance at the Freddy Mercury Tribute concert 1992. Nigel/Chris used Mr. Horsepower on that one as well.

Nice new avatar.....how about some eye candy? Please ? - This is turning into a torture thread........

These are very special indeed I looked into buying one a few months back - from a 5 week investigation there only appears to be 2 of the 25 willing to sell and the lowest price I could get them to commit to was £5.6K - $10,000 - Nice, but I could have a lot of lapdancers for that!

PS Totally agree on the lapdancer front!!!:D
