Well, at the beginning of this Thread I would like to apologize to moderators if this belong somewhere else, please remove it, or replace...etc.

Question:

I wonder if it's possible that official EBMM web page get some kind of bass or guitar online configurator?
Something what car companies makes on their own web pages?

So, here's the proposal:

User make a choice of an instrument, for example Stingray 4, than pick up the color, than select fret-board, pick-guard, ...than decide with or without matching headstock...etc., ...and in final this configurator shows to the customer real picture of wanted instrument! :)

That could be very useful for potential buyers to see how will wanted instrument look like in different mods!
This also can much improve the sale!

What do You guys think about that and what Sterling Balls think about that?

My vote: Yes

P.S. ... that could also avoid sometimes funny Threads like ...which PG should I take, ...or what color for my bass, ...or matching HS or not...etc.

This has been brought up before. I think the conclusion was that no one wants the factory to shut down for a few years so that the hundreds of thousands of pictures it would take to do this could be taken...yes, I'm exaggerating a little.

The old site had exactly that.

Didn't stop the endless "which color/which pickguard" threads. People just like to chat about this stuff and be reassured about their decision. These are expensive instruments, so there's naturally some anxiety associated with the purchase.

Here's my rule of thumb, based on personal experience:

Every single EBMM finish looks much better in person than it does in pictures.

While I prefer the more colorful and vibrant finishes personally, even the blacks/grays/silvers etc. look great. So at the end of the day, you're going to wind up with a beautiful instrument no matter what color it is.

I remember the old configurator, and I remember it didn't have a picture for all of the options you could choose. That was back when there was a SR, Sterling, and SR5 all in single H only. Can you imagine that thing now? That would be a full time job..
