Guys do you know how wire de-mud cap so it’s only active when you are in 5th position on a full HB? Asking for newer L3/L4 boards.

Beej does, he helped me when I did mine. I apparently did not write it down tho. I'll open my Luke III and let you know which lugs I used, that affects only position 5. Stand by...

I'm sorry... I opened up my Luke, and I had wrapped the "de-mud mod" in electrical tape, just to be sure it was isolated from everything else... in removing the tape, I inadvertently pulled another wire from the neck pickup loose. So I looked at my wiring diagram for MY Luke (I know there were a couple revisions), and I can re-attach the disconnected wire, but I wouldn't be comfortable trying to explain to you where that de-mud mod needs to go.... even if I tell you where mine is, I'm not sure we have the same board revision.

Beej is who helped me, I can't believe I did not save the info he gave me for this... I save EVERYTHING, but apparently forgot to save this. He will be able to tell you where that mod goes on YOUR board to affect only position 5.

Hey- yeah it's not too difficult a job. You'll need to unsolder the Violet jumper wire from the lever switch (top right section of the switch, from the earlier diagram) and replace it with the capacitor of your choice. That'll put the humbucker in series with the capacitor in position 5 only.
