I was in Atlanta this week, and stopped by the GC. They had the most Balls I've ever seen in one store, including....

1). Luke BFR Bahama BlueBurst. This is one of the 10 made for GC with the sparkle back and a flame top (which sucked). I played this guitar on Monday and Tuesday, but waited until today to post, because it was only this morning I decided not to buy her . I haven't been showing my Rad Red Luke much love lately :(, so I decided not to get another Luke. But, she is fantastic...looks great, plays great, sounds great, and is in mint condition. Somebody jump on this one!

(The Luke BFR was in their high end room, and a manager had to unlock the guitar from the hanger. The rest of the guitars were suspended from the ceiling. So, if you wanted to play any of the EBMMs, you had to get a manager. I imagine this keeps them in better shape than a guitar that anybody could pick up and just play).

2). JP7 BFR, WalnutBurst quilt with peizo (the top sucked)
3). JP6, Red PearlBurst with piezo
4). 20th Anniversary Silo hardtail with natural headstock
5). Rosewood ASS with trem
6). Rosewood ASS hardtail
7). Luke, Black with natural headstock
8). ASS, Pacific BlueBurst flametop, hardtail, rosewood board, natural headstock (a stunner)
9). ASS, Honeyburst quilt, trem, maple board, natural headstock (also very nice).

If you're in that area, go check 'em out.

Regards,
Hack

Hack,
I guess that's one benefit about being in Atlanta!! Up here in Nor Cal. most GC's do not stock enough Musicman guitars to suit my taste. So, it's hard to find them to check out/play. I kinda like the fact that they seem to be closely guarded by GC security, which by the way, are all ex-CIA agents!! I think Musicman guitars should have the same security screening as our airports under the "orange" alert. Before your allowed to play them you must first take off your shoes, empty your pockets, remove your belt buckle and pants (if they have rivets) - Well, at least then they won't end up being sold as "demos"!

LOL...that would be funny. It's almost like that anyway...with their front door security, when you leave the store.

Heh-heh...well the Luke BFR had been tuned to drop-D when I first got to play her, so I spent the first five minutes tuning that floating trem back to standard pitch :). But, this guitar was absolutely pristine, plastic still on the back, hardly even any fingerprints. Sounded monstrous through a Mesa Lone Star Special. Just a fantastic guitar.
