Just want to get everyone's opinion:
Every Music Man guitars I've played had a great neck on it. some are better than others, but they all perform really well. A salesman told me once, that once you played a MM, you can't go back to other guitars. At the time I agreed with him because having played a couple Axis SS, I can't stop thinking how great the necks felt on them.
I think it's the necks and the smaller, more contour body combined resulted in a guitar that's like a Ferrari, fast, slick and high performance.
I know that even my high end guitars, like my ES175 and Les Paul, vintage Strats etc.. all felt less comfortable after playing MM necks.
Without the great necks, would MM be as relevant and popular?

my two balls killed every guitar that i own...

not only because of the neck, but as a whole
i NEVER had a guitar that sounded, felt and looked that great in my life

take em out of the box, go on stage and rip your 2nd guitarrist out of this planet :D

MusicMan Guitars are just better, period!

A lot of EBMM's calling cards are on the neck.

1. Figured Necks, head stocks, and even fingerboards!
2. Unfinished necks with gunstock oil and wax blend.
3. 4+2 Headstock design.
4. Compensated nut.
5. Insanely refined fretwork.
6. Trussrod adjuster on the opposite end at the pocket.
7. Locking tuners.

Man, there's quality in every EBMM guitar, but man, the NECK is where a lot of their work happens to shine.

they sound great, I like the small bodies and the light weight, but the necks are a very big part of it - for me!

yapp, totally agreed :) Look at my models below..they're all different necks, but they are all great.

However, it's the overall concept that makes a great guitar, and that is what makes MMs unique, as every EBMM is special somehow though you never need time to get used to them. That makes a difference...

THE NECK IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF GREAT QUALITY.

Unsurpassed workmanship for the price!!

I am not sure if anyone here has ever tried to build a guitar from parts, but mannnnnnnnnnnnnn it is a lot of work to sync everything up correctly. Then, you end of selling it cuz it doesn't play like a MusicMan ! Been there, done that.

For me, my personal collection will grow :D:D

Most EBMMs look pretty small on me (I'm about 6'3") but they fit like a glove!

Now whenever I play something else they either seem too big or clunky.

Once I bought my first ASS back in 05, I’ve never owned another make of guitar. Mainly because of the neck, but the looks got me as well.

So,
I guess ERGONOMICS and ASSYMETRICAL is the key.
I've played the JP, Axis, Axis SS, Morse and Luke. They all feel different and I prefer some over the others, but I can do most of my thing on any of them, plays like butter. Strats, Les Pauls and even Ibanez feels awkward and clunky after experiencing MM necks.
Since we're all MM players on here, I wonder if our general consensus is somewhat bias? But everyone I know who played MM never seem to go back to another guitar brand.
