Hi Chaps

I am looking at getting a single coiled guitar, either a Silo or AL. Are the ALs pure tone machines like i have read about? They are an interesting shape and i might be tempted over the Silo

Thanks

Both guitars are fantastic, but I find there's something special about the AL. And it's just so damn comfortable to play.

Jamie as much as I love the AL a fellow brit (JimmyB) is selling his Axis Sport SSS if you have the cash go for it, the AL can wait but this guitar is a real tone machine

I was just about to mention that, Jimmy's Axis Sport SSS is super rare and a snip at 650 quid to get you EBMM quality with the single coils you're after. Its the red one in the FS thread...

Been here years and I've only come across 4 or 5 Axis SSS's in my time, and mine is a keeper forever!

PS. Same pups as the silhouette but on an ash body...

Go for it Jamie

if you don't like it, I'll purchase it back but I don't see how you could dispaointed by such a guitar even Steve Lukather has one that he used on stage and on several records

Haven´t played the AL, but the Silho SSS is an amazing guitar.

I´ve just finished an hour of bashing it (and pissing my neighbors off xD) and it is an AMAZING guitar.

Well, any ball you grab will be an excellent choice. Try them and decide. You can´t go wrong!
