Hi everyone. I'm a new member and I have been jonesing for a Super Sport for a while now. No one seems to be willing to bring them in locally, so I'm watching ebay. I'm looking for one with a maple fretboard and trem. I'm not too concerned about color, but my favorite colors are the blues, especially translucent blue. I'm not worried about the piezo option, but wouldn't turn my nose up at it if one was available. It seems like I can never find one on ebay that has both the trem and the maple fretboard. I wonder why they're so rare? Maybe it's just luck of the draw. Anyhow, if anyone knows where I might pick up one of these guitars used, I would be much obliged. Thanks.

Hey I got a music store for you. I got my hardtail transgold Axis HH at Christmas time from Musicland USA in New York. Ask for Al and he will give you a great price. I called Ernie Ball and asked them if this store was a good place to do business and Dan a sales rep told me this store is one of their big dealers and they have a huge inventory.

Call this store and if they don't have it, they will get it for you. I always fancy the hardtails axis with the demarizzio pickups on them.
Good luck and enjoy getting your new guitar.

I got my (well actually my son's now) SS with Maple fretbard, tremelo and HH on ebay. It's orange with a great top.

I have seen them out there quite a bit. I see the Axis in blue, more so than the SS.

Most of the Axis in stock are with a maple fretboard. I would check with Musicland USA before I would get one on ebay. A new one is not much more than a used one and you will have the warranty with the dealer on a new one. I only buy used guitars if they are in the collectors market, like the EVH.
Different strokes for different folks.
I do not endorse music stores, unless I have done business with them and have been treated good.
Harry's Guitar Shop in Raliegh NC is another great place to do business.
