Here's a slideshow of my EBMM journey, minus one bass - an Egyptian Smoke SR5 that I had for a while, but unfortunately have no pics of. The slideshow is in chronological order. When I joined the forum, I still had just the first one - the Autumn Redrise SR4H (now under Zak's stewardship). That was my treasured first EBMM, and my ONLY bass for a number of years. The rest have come since joining the forum. A few others have ended up in other forumites' hands too. It's been a great journey, and as you can see ... in my case, all roads lead to the Bongo. :)

Enjoy

Every one of those basses is just epic...you've had an amazing selection which personally I would have just kept. Are you sticking with what you have got? The 30th, the BFR, those HH rays...all just gorgeous. Not to mention the multiple bongos and of course mine.

Great slideshow.

Well, I do have thoughts about the next one, but not immediately. I'm REALLY happy with this Bongo 4H. Reminds me though, I need find out how long the one I want next will be available.

Yep, that Redrise Ray of yours is really special. It's been a real kick seeing it in the pics and clips you've posted. Keep 'em coming!

Capt, Zak bought the Autumn Redrise Stingray from me early last year. About my "collection", for now I only have the last 2 - the OFM SR4H and the Silver Bongo 4H. I do still kinda think all of them as a collection of sorts, though, so thanks. :)

very nice but u have never had a sterling??why?

I just prefer the wider nut-width of the SR. I do like how the Sterlings sound and look, though. Maybe I should give a 5'er a try - might be just the ticket. Or ... might've been just the ticket ... before I was bitten by the Bongo. :D

that was kind of neat, and also a quick reminder of what a slut you are.

Won't even pretend to argue that. ;)

Am I right in thinking that the OFM Stingray is an attempt at replacing one that you sold...

I saw you say something to that effect when I first got the OFM, and meant I meant to comment on it ... just totally spaced it.

Yes and no. Yes in the sense that at the time, I *was* indeed missing the "point and shoot", classic single H Ray vibe. But no in the sense that I wasn't trying to replace Autumn Redrise with OFM. I just loved OFM when I saw it, which happened to be at the time that I was feeling all sentimental over missing a single H Ray.

As you know, nothing could replace Autumn Redrise. :)

Hm. What about the NAMM SR you once told about. Didn't you own that?

On a second note... I think you should have kept one of your StingRays... Bongoloid or not, you seem to keep coming back to the 'Ray every couple of months. Or maybe I should suggest colours for you, so I can get a used one... ;)

About your TNG EBMM: a 25th?

Good memory! I did own a 100th NAMM Anni SR, but only for one day, then I sent it back to Bass Central (kudos to Beaver for honoring his return policy!). So since I only had it a day, I left that one out.

I recommend Orange Firemist ... check the FS thread. ;)

Nope, nothing as exotic as a 25th. Not in the immediate future anyway. The sluttiness of the past ~year really has been about finding my new number 1. And now I have. It wasn't sluttiness just for slutiness' sake! I'm committed to at least 6 months of monogamy. :)

Actually, I was more thinking along the lines of Ice Blue.

Maybe even a fretless Bongo 4 HSP... ;)

Hm. Then you managed to throw me off with your comment about the availability check...

Now you're talkin.

Well, the ~6 months monogamy is the very reason the availability check is in order. I wanna make sure the one I have in mind will still be available for order then. ;) I'm assuming it will be for this whole year, but I want to confirm.

An excellent choice in fretless configuration.
