There are two:

-Rosewood ASS w/piezo
-Silo Spec w/RW neck option, olive gold w/gold swirl guard, piezo.

That being said, I've always used guitars w/maple boards, so I'm loving my Axis!

morsecode's Dargie JP7 :p No funds at the time. 'Twas a shame, but alas

I came very close to selling it this summer. Fortunately for me I came to my sense and realized that I would really regret it. I don't play the 7 much at all and I think the only way I would part with it is if I had a mint condition Dargie JP6 in return on a trade.

But that 20th Silo of Dizzy's is absolutely incredible even he had to premium price for it at the time. It's unlikely that we'll see another like that for sale.

The silver Axis sport that was the first EBMM I ever played. Could have gotten a good deal on it, too, because the shop was trying to get rid of it. Of course, had I bought that guitar, I probably wouldn't have gotten my PBB Axis a couple of years later, so it all works out for the better. :D

That guitar was on Craigslist last year, but, as usual I didn't have the cash for it.

Wish I had gotten a Blue Dawn LE Axis, too, but still might pick one of those up some day.

I love that guitar - thanks :)

But I was actually gobsmacked at the price I got it for.
Brand New, something like $200 less than Pete's wall price, PLUS it was open to international bidders who would have had to pay close to the the equivalent in pounds or Euros for the same guitar new on home soil.

I chucked in a token bid in the last minute or so, and nearly fell over when it came back with "Congratulations, you just won......... ". :D

I really expected it to go significantly higher.

It's an awesome guitar, plus I finally got the opportunity to buy an EBMM from Pete !! :D
(and what a great guy to deal with he is !)

There were two:

(1) a beautiful PBB Axis Super Sport with rosewood board, and

(2) Either a Silo Spec or Luke with rosewood neck. I totally missed the window for ordering a rosewood necked EBMM.

I'm making up for both with a 25th. :)

My "one that got away" has got to be Spuds Red EVH. I was convinced that this guitar was Mrs OLPlayer's 50th birthday present for me.. I had to make do with a spanking PBB ASS:eek:

hee hee - yeah me and Mrs Olplayer hatched a plan to get him a EB.
Thanks to Blind Lemon for telling me that he had a nice one in stock. Thanks to Cardiff Guitars for getting it.
But poor ol' Olp thought that the EVH I got was secretly for him - yeah right a 900+ mile drive to get the EVH !!! - shoot I was nearly in Smellybum territory.

Several years ago I was at Guitar Center to buy something innocuous like strings. I played a LUKE and fell in love with it. It was priced really low too. I don't usually make large purchases on impulse, and I didn't give in then either. Plus I had bought that Ibanez not too long before. But in retrospect it would have been a good purchase, like I said it was priced really low.

I definitely should have picked up that LUKE. It just felt right, and it totally got me into EBMM guitars.

The recent thread on "What EB's have you let go?" got me thinking about about EB's I wish I'd bought.
I wish I'd bought the Silo I used as a demo guitar when try out an FX unit (but didn't have the funds for the Silo) or the numerous Dargies that have came up for sale in the past year or so that, for various reasons, have slipped through my fingers.

WeeGee

Guess I can know remove the Dargie from the guitars I wish I'd bought :D
