He is a delightful chap that can entertain regally with style and grace at the most splendid affairs. He is a man of style, grace and charisma. His leadership skills are second only to Churchill. He is like a religous Georgie Best.

I was in Vegas back in March, and made a point to visit the "largest guitar store in the world". The pawn shops here in Gainesville have better gear for sale. It looked like a museum for copy and imitation instruments, or maybe a Chinese instrument warehouse. What a waste of time.

Also, he urinates through his skin like a shark.*

*Icthyologists, relax. I know this is a myth. I just liked how it sounded. And sharks are neither apes nor monkeys.

Actually I think that he urinates through his beard which also serves as a pantry for late night snacks.

A right of passage for any new salesman is to have them talk to Ed Roman at the NAMM shows Evan Ball's was the funniest ande then Spinny's second

=Roman Guitars Closing
. . .
Roman sold the business to a company operating area car dealerships. . . . “I am in the process of buying my name back. I didn’t sign any non-compete clause .”

OK, let me get this straight.: He sold his business "Ed Roman Guitars" to a Car dealership company.

He didn't sign a non-compete clause... that's good, I bet those car dealers were worried about competition from a guitar store.

He is buying his name back. Why would a car dealership want the name? And I hope he doesn't pay to much to get that name back. . . :D

I spoke to Ed Roman over the phone once, and it was apparent from the beginning that he was a complete jackass.

I stopped in there when I was in Vegas a couple of years back and bought a HSC for my Hohner as he was one of the only places that sells them that I could find. I expected to walk into a candy store. What a disappointment. I did buy the case, though.

Holy Pooh - Batman!

The only knowledge of Roman I ever had was a used one on a rack in a guitar store in Lemoyne PA. Huge price on it. It was pointy and active so I moved to it. I looked closer and saw that despite the nice shine and stuff there were things missing. This was boutique price but a one piece neck and no inlays. Details can go on. I passed. It sat there forever. I guess the poor owener took it back or someone gave a lowball offer and he took it. Either way - poor owner.

I always wondered about that bass??. Now I know more......................
