So I saw the bass whisperers tongue in cheek reference on his review, "looks gray to me in a smokey egyptian kinda way", then I ended up with a Bongo used, the seller said was Egyptian smoke. I immeadiately thought he did not know what he was selling because of the subtle green/olive undertones. So I researched smallequestrians thread for other possible colors to no avail.
What a subtle color that morphs in different light. Like Desert gold owners enjoy perhaps. Way to go you guys in the spray booth! (or whatever alchemy is employed). Diggin my ES Bongo. Not Gray! Pictures won't follow cause you have to see it in person.

I bought my second Bongo through the 'Basses for sale' thread here - a 4HH in Egyptian Smoke. I'd only seen this color in pictures online and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was stunned when the bass arrived. The Egyptian Smoke finish is gorgeous! Pictures definitely don't do it justice.

That is so cool. To actually see what the light does to a certain colour. (color?)
Next time I visit Bass Central I'll definitely ask to see every color they have in stock haha. (including saphire black)

Thanks for posting!
