They all get some play when I first get 'em. I think the Japanese Ash BFR is the stunning of all my Pets, it's like a museum piece.

Only certain ones are "players."

The collection has kinda taken on a life of it's own and EBMM usn't helping with all the introdution of new finishes, the BFR and now the JPX,.


Just think, the upkeep on that many guitars would be nuts, with cleaning and string changes.

So are the others purchased with the intention of investment or just sheer pleasure?
Do you rotate the "players" or are there some that you just don't play at all.
I can imagine the upkeep would be crazy on that many guitars!!

Most I don't play at all, I have two I play in standard tuning, one in dropped-D, one in D, one in C and a Seven plus the baritone. I like collecting, it's an expensive hobby. It used to be a little more fun 'cause I started my collection in earnest after alot of finishes were discontinued, so going on the "hunt" for them was a blast.
I guess some of them can be considered investment, like the one off's, and I bought alot of them when the price of a loaded pet was about 400 bucks cheaper.

Yeah, it will be called the Ernie's Ernie Ball Music Man Limited Edition of 1.

If BP doesn't want to be redundant then it can have a more classy moniker using my proper name, Ernest's Ernie Ball Music Man Limited Edition.

Actually, there one was Pet made for a NAMM show in Copperhead Bronze, I wouldn't mind getting that one. Heck, I would like to know where the heck it is.
