Hi
Maybe it will sound blasphemic for some of you,but I`m about to replace my bridge pickup in Luke for EMG 89.I really miss that "quackin" strat sound out of 2nd position that made Strat famous,out of my beloved Luke...
Will someone tell me what`s the diference?Is that worth of making of that evaluation?
PS. Excuse my English...;)

I'm very interested in how it turns out. I have 2 89's that are awaiting installation in 2 of my Lukes as I miss the qwack as well.

Just waiting to find a guitar tech I trust to do it.

EMG pickups are plug and play. There is a little adapter that plugs into the back of the pickup. Unplug it and plug in your new pickup. No tech needed.
You're aware that you have to replace a pot with the 89?

@look_at_her:
Do it. My dad uses a Luke as his main guitar and felt the same way you do. He's very happy with the 89.

Apparently you can't replace the volume pot easily because it's on a PCB, so you have to put the switch into the tone pot. At least that's what the tech who did it said. That might be because his guitar has the piezo, though. I don't know if the non-piezo ones have the PCB too.
