That green is gorgeous. Perhaps they might issue a martini green if the envy is indeed discontinued. It seems the dealers missed the boat.

Lee, I don't know the answer, although I think I heard from someone that the order period for the Envy Green is over and done.

I'm not sure, though, so in the bargain, I've given this thread a boot back up to the top where someone who DOES know can find it more easily.

The Envy Green color option expired at the end of July. You may have to call around to some local dealers to see if they ordered one for stock. Good luck.

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, I've played the same 'ray for the last 7 or 8 years :D .
I have recently been tempted by a Bongo 5 in envy green. :D :D Can these still be ordered from Musicman or have I missed the them?? :(

Lee, have you tried contacting 'String and Things' the UK distributor for EBMM?

They won't sell direct but they will let you know what they have and have had and who they sent them out to.

A word of caution, ask them what they have, and do not start by telling them what you want!

Reason for this is that I know that they chop and change bodies and necks to suit customer requirements and I have seen the splinter on the body to neck joint as a result in the bass centre when it was in Wapping!

You may not have a problem with them changing them to suit you, but when you are paying over a grand for a bass, you should expect to get it all orginal IMHO.

Good luck

If you are worried about a parts bass, you can always contact Ernie Ball with the serial number, and they can tell you exactly how the bass left the factory down to the pickguard. I'm sure they'd love to know about any distributor, or reseller, who is parting basses to get around a wait time from the factory.

In fact, I'm pretty sure Dargin the Enforcer would rain down serious hellfire for such an activity.

Lee-man man, have you tried BassNW in Seattle. Contact Evan, I'm sure he might be able to help with the jolly green Bongo.

They weren't also supposed to suggest changing the MM pup with a Seymour Duncan...

Perhaps LeftyLB, Oldbluebassman and me should become the UK dealers.

......but if it's getting the tools in the players hands that need them and said players "can't" seem to be getting them through the proper channels...

Pete,

You realise this means he'll have to wear his underpants (shorts in US speak) on the outside of your trousers (pants). ;)

edit: is that better?

For the record, as a US citizen, I've never said, nor heard, the word "undershorts" used in a conversation.

You must not make it down here to south Georgia very often then.

Cool, last time I was there my friend did take me to a street in London that is apparently somewhat famous for all of the guitar shops and it was cool but I don't think i made it to the big bass store in London, did manage to make it to the ol' Buck House though and had a few great curries!

If we meet, I'll take you to both the 'big'(they're quite small actually) bass stores(Bass Centre+Bass Gallery).
