I know this may have been beat to death, but I have to ask anyway. Seem that there are many EVH owners here and my problem is the Music Man ( gotoh ) bridge and worn out E saddles. Has anyone had any luck on finding these offset saddles or even the new ones?

I would need the high E and Low E saddles, luckily the rest of them are fine:) It seem that the head of the locking nut is detachable from the intonation offset part so the new saddles would solve the problem.

Anyways if anyone has spare parts or knows where to get them it would be greatly appreciated.

Happy forthcoming holidays!

130 views and not one bit of advice:confused: I'm curious to know as well

Welcome to the forum, Click. I'm sorry that I don't know about the offset saddles, but you could drop a Gotoh Floyd Rose in the evh and be fine.

Good luck on your quest.

Bryan

To replace the saddles on my Luke 1 which has the same bridge, I ended up buying an entire new Gotoh bridge, and swapping the saddles onto the Luke bridge unit. A costly exercise but I had no luck any other way! I hope customer service can help you. I didn't have that luxury back in the day.

Thanks for the info. The only reason not to swap it to new Gotoh bridge is preserving the originality of this fine instrument:) I hopefully get info from Gotoh if the saddles are sold seperately? If I'm on right track here I think we'll be able to save many Music Man offset bridges on EVH and Luke 1 models:)

Hard to get spares though, schallers, Floyd Rose bridges no problems...

The major problem seems to be overtightening the locking screws which will eventually break the small black blocks in the tremolo unit:( these locking nuts can be changed though...

I'll keep myself and others posted when info is available.

Merry Christmas!!

I believe EBMM only stocks the current trem at this point. I have debated sending in my 1996 Axis for a retrofit since the new one is so nice.... I think I'll wait until mine fails
