Well, here's the response I got from the seller:

[FONT=Arial, Verdana]thanyou for your question

It is a limited edition OLP with the proper musicman licenced neck and solid ash body. I bought it new from a chain of music stores, who got hold of a few of these logo'd up ones.

To be honest, the only differance i can see between that and an original is the pickups. If you put active electronics in it , it would basically be a Musicman Stingray.

I am only selling it as I am now the proud owner of a USA fender jazz, which has a narrower neck for my small hands, and the missus will only allow one bass at a time lol

Well done that man. Very interesting. Perhaps the factory would like to comment on this neck and logo story.

Just saying...sounds like this guy has several of them and it may be worth someone's while to track them down and determine his source.

I'd imagine his source is The Decal Shop, which used to advertise EB decals.

Hang on - but stop me if I am wrong and according to my wife I often am - isn't the decal too far down the nose of the headstock?

Yep.

The listing's been reported, but it remains to be seen if ebay does anything about it.

Limited Edition My Arrrrse!! That was the standard natural finish on OLP's before they started doing the flame maple top on the naturals. Somebody needs to arrest this idiot !
