If you watch the smoking in the boys room video and look in the right hand stall you will see his black BC Rich Warlock with the headstock busted off which was an accident during the video shoot. It was a rare bound body Warlock with 2+2 headstock.

He wanted another one just like it before they went out on their '02 tour and I owned the only other one just like it known to be in circulation and he contacted me wanting to buy it....I went pretty easy on him (I only doubled my money on it...hehe) and I shipped it to him while out on tour. Here he is playing my old bass live.

Until now, I haven't been motivated to hook my laptop up to the stereo in the Scream Parlour - but I'm off to Radio Shack tomorrow.

Did someone say EBMM radio rocks?

I must admit, I'm back on AOL Broadband radio listening to the "All Rod Stewart" channel at 12:37 am and really dropping my jaw at Phil Chen....did Phil ever play a MM?

I'm not sure, but I've always seen footage of him with that off-white P-Bass (except for the "Infatuation" vid; forget what bass that was).

From the unofficial bovinehost BoNgo Info Page:

"The 4 band preamp was designed by Dudley Gimpel, with a lot of input from Cliff Hugo and other Musicman artists to help dial in the tone and the functionality. Dudley built a preamp with sweepable mids to find the best center frequencies, and then let the bassists play around with it to find the best points. Phil Chenn brought in the Precision bass that he played on Jeff Beck's "Blow by Blow", which still had the original strings, and used that as a reference."

I'd sure like to get Dudley's input on the info I have over there, but the above is what I was told......

Wow.. so the BoNgo protos had somewhat of a parametric EQ? That's cool!

Did that stay for the final product, or was there a consensus as to where the 'sweet spot' was and they fixed the EQ around that center?

I can't get the Radio thing to work. I go to the EB home site, and the radio box is empty. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this? Thanks.

About Ernie Ball Radio

Marketing is a really fun excersize///On one hand you want to celebrate your heritage and the other you must be fresh for the next generation. So if we use the heritage just right (kind of like cayenne pepper) its effective.

Ernie Ball Radio is a way of maketing through your ears. Sublimminally you will start to say "Wow, that was recorded with Slinkies?" I also legitimizes our endorsement strategy Most companies use players in ads that may not play the guitar but get off on being in a magazine. BUt the poff is in the music and we have a heritage that nobody can touch.
My dad started it and we are keeping it going.
