Question Ernie Ball Silhouette Special Universal Case? And SC pick up question.

Hi!
First time poster, long time reader!
Been playing EBMM since 94 when I bought my first quilt EVH.

I just bought a silhouette special in Blizzard White.
Amazing!
Have a question with the case.
It's a Music man hard shell flight case like the fender skb's, but looks like it is made for more than one model.
The problem is the SS bounces around in it?
Did the dealer give me the right case?
Had some sort of packing rag shoved in the side... Am I suppose to coil it around the guitar.
A little weird...

Also the neck pickup is tilted forward maybe 10 degs.
Is that the way it is supposed to be. Not square to the strings a la' Fender?

it's a little loose... at least mine is but it's also very secure

How about the front pickup? a little tilt on it?

Mine was tilted a little bit

If you grab the pickup you can move it to square... You should be fine

Yeah, you don't want a case that's snug, it defeats the purpose of shock protection as the guitar itself will itself become the dampener.

If its quite used then just place a thin towel to line the bottom or sides. The guitar should have decent wiggle room. Just make sure it doesn't sit snug in the case, that's bad contrary to common belief.
