Ernie Ball Strap Locks

Thanks Dan. The washer is indeed curved. I think it's the way the screw enters the body (not very straight) which makes the strap button tighten more on one side than the other. This squeezes de washer down. I'll try to make a picture of it tomorrow. It's probably something I'm doing wrong... Again, it's only cosmetic's, not a real problem. :)

I made some pictures with my cellphone, so sorry for the bad quility. Here's the "problem":

It kinda looks like it's because the screw doesn't enter the body in a straight way. But if that was the case, why does the washer go on straight with the original strap button? :)

Note that the screw has troubles getting straight in the button

It's not a real problem (only cosmetic I think), but somehow it concerns me because I don't want to have a strap button broken off or anything. I love my new Sterling so I don't want anything bad happening to it. ;)

If this is "problem with products" posting, I'll remove the post

Here's a question: Can you buy just the buttons and not the whole locking system? I ask b/c I have more basses than I have straps. :)

Old question, but I am looking for the same answer. Hard to migrate to another system if I can't also just purchase some buttons. Otherwise I'll just stick with what I got. I am interested in giving this a go though.
