Ernie Ball Sub 5 Question

Hey Everyone...I just got a new to me sub 5 (see pic). Plays great. I have one small issue. The pick up bounces up and down fairly easily so much so, that when playing with my
fingers, it can move when I reach for the higher strings. Any ideas? I'm thinking of replacing the spring behind the pickup although I honest have no idea how to do that. Thanks for any help. Rob

You can mess with the springs or maybe someone used foam padding instead and the foam has compressed. You can use closed cell foam if you can settle on a particular tilt and height and then let it be.

Did you raise or lower the PU when you acquired the bass, and if so what did it feel like when you were adjusting it ?

Thanks for the response. I took out the screws and noticed there wasn't any springs behind them, I contacted Ernie ball and they said it should have the springs so I bought new ones. work better
