thanks guys! .. i have a question for those who owns both a silo and a silo special.. how does each one of them benefit you? in terms of tone and playability.. i bought the silo and not the silo spec because of the 24 frets..

I miss my Silhouette. The 24 fret version. I stupidly sold it in a fit of impulse because I wanted a rosewood fretboard. It was really versatile. REALLY with I could find one with a recessed FR. That would be a better guitar for me than a JEM or a Prestige RG.

The Silo specs are nice, and have their own thing going. but I still don't like the stock single coils, or the frets. Those gripes are personal do YMMV. They are good guitars in their own sense, just that these days I prefer larger necks.

The only reason I'd choose a Silo Spec over a Silo (and I did) is because of the 22 frets. That's why I was extremely tempted back in Japan when they had those limited runs Silo Specs with recessed FRs!
