Back in the seventies I bought an Ernie Ball Earthwood guitar. It was a very small acoustic guitar (17" scale length) and it was called a "Baby Ernie Ball". I would like to find another one of these to buy. Does anyone know of where I might find one of these little critters?

Big Poppa's Private Reserve?

I am not familiar with this company. Does Big Poppa's Private Reserve have a website? If so, I didn't find it with Yahoo.

Big Poppa's Private Reserve, maybe?

it would be cool to see the vintage stuff (MM used to make) online - all the discontinued models.

funny how we get rid of a guitar that we had along time ago only to want to get the same back years later.

Late at night when the wind is sofltly blowing the leaves in the trees I swear I hear my old guitars calling me. "why did you sell us ?"

those were made in the early eighties...we made very few but they are really cool. we made them in Koa, rosewood, Flame maple and mahoghany...I never see them up for resale.

Oh, that's who Big Poppa is

Thanks Glenn for straightening me out on who Big Poppa is.

In reference to KBAIM's remark, I actually still own the original Baby Ernie Ball Earthwood Guitar. I love it and play it exclusively. I am afraid to take it anywhere becasue it is irreplacable - that's why I want another one.

Thanks, Big Poppa for the info on the Baby Ernie Ball. Mine is a mahogeny model, serial# G134. I think that I heard that only about 600 Baby Ernie Balls were made. You guys were way ahead of your time. as you know, samll guitars are all the rage now. And, of course, so are acoustic bass guitars (which was also a great instrument in the Earthwood series). If you ever hear of a baby Ernie Ball guitars for zale , please let me know. Or even parts for one, that EB might have kickin around in the shop.

Colin, I don't understand why you are not seeing the photo.
It is an attachment and you have to click on it. I just did it and it poped right up.
Try it again and let me know if it works for you.

Walter, I saw this same sort of thing when Beth posted a picture a few weeks ago. Your picture says "Pending Approval". I usually host my pictures and just give a url to them.

Can't wait to see this thing.

As for the Big Poppa thing you wouldn't have known unless you were hanging around here. No problem.

Glen -
What does pending approval mean? And how do you host your own pictures and give a URL to them? And why does the "Pending Approval' affect you but not me when I try and open it?

Thanks for your understanding about my ignorance of who Big PoPPa is.

Walter, I'm pretty sure there is a limit to the amount of pictures you can host on the forum. I tend to just host mine elsewhere and provide a url to them. I use WebShots, others use PhotoBucket. They work well and do just about the samething.

I'm not 100% sure what the deal is with the pending approval really. They just updated the forum software and there a a bunch of new features as well as functionality. Maybe someone from EBMM can step in here and explain it in more detail?

Maybe you can see it, because you posted it.

No problem and it's not ignorance, you just didn't know. He's a super guy and post here regurally. Go over to the bass side and get a history lesson.

He's full of information and is nice enough to share it with all.

Here's something you migth think is cool. It's BP (aka Biff) acoustic amp for his Earthwood.

Walter, very nice, it looks a lot like the Earthwood that was at SLO only smaller scale.

Thanx for sharing it. :)
