Hi guys

First off...me & Azzy are looking forward to meeting all you fellow knuckleheads at the UK bash next Saturday :) should be a top day/night! Will definitely help ease the pain of England not being at the Euro's...which start in 2 hours...:D

Part of me will be glad not to spend every game shouting at Plank Lampard & being left heartbroken at the inevitable 1/4 final loss....on penalties. Oh well....gives me the chance to just sit back and hopefully enjoy some good football (soccer)

Anyone else goin to be watching? My money is on Italy but I have a feeling Portugal have a great chance

Just watched the first half of the Turkey V Portugal game.

S'ok.

Yeah I bet Italy will play their usual boring game, fall over at the least contact and scrape into the final. At least they are there in Euro 2008 so I can't ridicule them too much.

I'm going to watch as much as i can, i love these tournaments:). Holland will play Italy on monday. I just learned that Arjen Robben is injured and won't be able to play agains Italy and possibly the rest of the tournament. This is a major letdown for us.

That's pretty much how I feel about it. In a way it's quite good that the dissapointment is already over! Does feel weird not being a part of it though...

Lumplard's probably on a beach already scoffing doughnuts...

My money is on Francenal at this stage...

PS Are you guys going to the pre-season friendly at the POSH on the 29th July? I've got a local one here on the 17th at Hampton and Richmond. :D

Germany all the way. Hope we will finally get to win a tournament, and not just stop one step before it, as was the case with the last two worldcups.

Oddly, I have found myself drawn to the games even though England aren't there. I thought i wouldn't be bothered but i was at my brothers last night and we had the Portugal game on in the background before we went out. Course, we had been doing something that I figured may make the game more entertaining, but I'll leave that to your imagination.

I' m quite enjoying sort of having it on in the background as pure entertainment rather than being faced with the stress of "these guys will beat us if we meet them at the next stage". As a side, any talkport listeners here? Did you hear Mike Parry on Friday practically saying that the fact they have let the competition go ahead without England is a travesty??!! I totally disagree! We didn't get there cos we're dump at the mo. It's opinions like that that make England a laughing stock in world football.

Quite agree. It's like promotion/relegation. You're either above the line or below it. If you're below it, live with it. We've snuck in at the last minute too many times before. It was bound to go tits up sooner or later.

I hope Capello makes every current England prima donna fight for their place. Only select players who really look like they want to be there.

Exit soapbox mode...:D

coming from a nation who also didnt make it to the euro2008 i couldnt agree more with the 2 last statements above.. if you dont make it its because you are not good enough. go practise some more.

same rules that applies for auditions ;)

After the match yesterday, I must say Germany played by far the best game of this young European Cup.

I hope we´ll take the cup this time :D:D:D

Go Deutschland!:p

Although I hope that Holland wins tonight, I must admit that this looks better than the orange color....
