And yes, he does thank the Knuckleheads, which alone makes it worth the price of admission.

But aside from that, there's something for everyone here.

Today, mine is "The Letting Go".

I agree with BP - Stab In The Back is a great track. I'm a long-time Steely Dan fan and this track is very Steely - and Luke mentions that it's a tribute to those guys. The whole record is great! I saved a few bucks and downloaded from iTunes last month. A couple of tracks sound like they could be on a Toto record, which is great, since Toto broke up!

I dont want to go off into the rap of the messed music industry...So lets not

LEt me just comment that Luke's body of work is impressive and Im not talking about his physique in speedos. Im also not talking about Toto....Or the over 800 hit records he played on....and Im also not talking about the many big hit songs that he either wrote or co wrote with other artists...
Or the grammy's....

His solo releases have not sold particularly well but he plays stuff from all of them live and they are remarkably strong.

Now you put all of the above together and you have a incredibly gifted artist, musician and friend.

Lets not take him for granted...the industry does that for us.

Luke is a very talented player, a nice guy (met him briefly at namm), and IMO plays one of the best all around guitars on the planet.
I'll look fot this CD.
Wasn't he doing another band now that Toto is down?

Not only is Luke a musician's musician...(as everyone on this forum already knows) but he is humble and kind-hearted beyond words. He is a true master of his craft. Although he can play incredibly fast, I think his ability to play the right notes and rests in the right places is what just kills when he plays. He has the ability to send shivers down your spine when he plays. I've been fortunate enough to hear him play on many occasions, and every time, I leave thinking, "no way... impossible to be THAT good..." and the next time I hear him play he is even better! Luke, as long as you keep making music, I'll keep buying it, and paying to hear you play. Ever Changing Times is a great disc. (so is Candyman, Santamental, Luke, Toto stuff ect..) support Lilly's college fund and buy them all! -Capt. Don

I just have to add - I saw Luke play the Mint here in Los Angeles several years ago when he was touring one of his earlier solo records, and he jumped behind the piano at one point to knock out a medley of ballads and I couldn't believe it - he's pretty damn good on the keys too! You would have thought it was David Foster back there - I guess some of that stuff rubbed off on Luke, since he's done a lot of work with Foster.

Been a fan of Luke's since 1978...he is the reason I wanted to play guitar and the reason I play MusicMan guitars. All of his solo stuff is great but this one is really kick a$$ all the way through...every track is excellent...his playing, singing, song writing, all of it. The man is a superstar but will hang with you like a good buddy when you meet him. He's the real deal so BUY HIS CD!
