Sorry Randy. I'm a huge GK fan but I think the Backline stuff is just crap.

If I don't get an 800RB, then i'll probably grab a 400RB. Should do nicely. ;)

Id disagree with you on that. The new Backline stuff, for the price, is un-stinking-believable IMO.

I'm with Travis on this one; real bang for the buck with the Backline Series!

+1.I spoke with Gene and Bob Gallien himself at NAMM about the Backiline 600. Bob designed it to be comparable to the 800RB's 300 watt power section without the old style crossover and 100 watt power section that most people don't use.You also get the newer GK features like the Contour knob intead of the preset buttons. To top it off it costs less than half what the 800RB costs. How could you go wrong?

I think the new backline stuff is definitely better than the old stuff. I wish to try it for giggles.

yes, I'm feeling a bit giddy. being stuck in bed all weekend tends to do that to people.

Here's a little history on the Thunderfunk amps for you.......

Jeeeez Criminey!!

That was totally impressive, sir!
I'm loving this, when was the last time I asked a question and actually got a factual, well-applied answer? NEVER!
Thanks very much!

My wife is just groaning on the couch now, because I may have just read the writing on the wall (well, on my monitor, anyway!) regarding my next amp, when I finally decide that the rack is just too damn heavy...got to take a look at their site and see if they have any amps with a tad more wattage than 500 rms or so...gonna need 800 or so to keep this Schroeder happy...

I took that from a TB thread but basically already knew the story.....Acoustic>AMP>SWR>Eden>Gibson>Thunderfunk.......The AMP's pop up used very once in a while but the prices have jumped up a bit since the TF's came out.I had a chance to buy one local that was mint for $300 about 6 years ago.I passed on it and needless to say i'm kicking myself for it:eek:

I should have kept my 21012. But I'm really happy with the GK Neos that I have now too.

Enjoy the Schroeder. Jorg is a great person to deal with if you need any help too.

Yes, he absolutely is!
I bought this cabinet with issues, was pretty beat up....Jorg helped me through bringing it back to life and bringing it back up to factory specs....if you own a Schroeder, he's behind you 100% and worth his weight in gold, whether you bought it new or used.
It sounds absolutely killer, and the only other adjustment I need to make is to replace my Carvin power amp with something else...the Carvin has good power, but I'm noticing that since I'm excercising it more lately that it's clipping early and not allowing full power bridged into 4 ohms, so I'll be trying a few other power amps out soon...

Right now I have a Schroeder 310212 that I have up for sale. It's just too heavy for me to handle by myself when I'm loading and unloading it at home. It does need one of Jorg's 10s to make it right though. I have a Kappa Pro sitting in the middle 10 spot right now.
