EVH body is back! *pics*

All I can say is WOW! Pat did an incredible job. In all reality, if I wasn't upfront about it you'd never know the body was refinished. It looks like a nos evh body. Got it all back together last night to see how its going to look. Still need a bridge pup and to have the neck done up by ebmm but DAMN does it look good now. I might grab a Suhr ssh pup and get it going this weekend and wait until next month to do the neck. Pics coming

heres the before pic of the back and front. The front the finish was completely worn away like the guy had acid sweat. The pics don't show that well but you can see how dull it is. Its amazing how the new finish really made the quilt pop out in the top. Well worth the money. Now I just have to wait to do the neck...out of cash atm lol

And I was thinking about selling it once it got back...not anymore. I may even just leave it as is and replace the pup to have it as my main player.

That came out nice. Get the neck redone and it will really look correct. Congrats!

GAWH GESSSSS!!!

That neck and body, (second picture), look rad as heck. Looks like the guitar is swimming in the ocean.

I LOVE IT!

Cheers,

Tom

Man! Nice work! I've always loved the natural finish on those. Wonder if you can find a used bridge p'up to match.

it wasn't to bad...I think he quotes by the job. This cost me $300 for the body.Thats not bad when you consider the amount of work that goes into it, stripping the old finish, prepping and finish sanding then finishing, buffing polishing etc etc. Plus its been gone for 2 months or so. So far for the cost of the guitar, refinish on the body and the new bridge I have 1450 into it. The refret(to get the neck cleaned) through ebmm will cost me 240 and then new pup and Bam, mint natural EVH under for under 1900.

Very reasonable!

I've considered doing this however I've always worried about getting the painted headstock refinished to match the body and loosing the Music Man logo and model name. But I suppose with a natural finish it's not as much of an issue?
