Jeff Beck doesn't do anything for me.
That's a devalued EBMM to me.

That is nice - I like Jeff Beck, but how about the Silo signed by George Harrison (#1 in that list) - now that's the one I would want...

Boo!

I'd love to have that! Love to meet Mr. Beck even more.

Also like to have won the two tickets to Maui ... :D

LOL!!! :p
I'd love the guitar. It's one of my favourite colours on the Axis!

Jeff is very talented and I can appreciate that.
But as much as I try to get into his music, I just can't

I don't mean to offend any fans by the way. ;)

Saw Mr.Beck in munich while he was on tour with Jennifer Batten.
I left after the 6th song cause he didn´t say anything and played 80% with his back to the people and it sounded like a rehearsal to me.
He played awful and half of the people left. With me one good friend of mine which is one big beck fan.
Everyone can have a bad day but since this day he owes me 50 bucks.
Looked like a money tour, sadly.

As I understand it, he's a bit of an odd-genius type. Musically brilliant, not so personable. At the open house I asked Lucious what it was like to play with him - that was pretty much his answer - that he's the odd genius.

Personally I think he's out of this world, so it doesn't matter to me if he's an odd duck. But that's really awful about that show. You've got to show up for the fans.

Agreed- what is the point of being a performer except to play for the audience. That is the final objective isn't it?

You're right Beej, that was aweful. He is a great guitarist who plays with so much feel. Watch him play on the Martin Scorcesse Blues documentary with Tom Jones - he gives me goosepimples. I don't think he "Delivers" so much in that line up with Jennifer Batten. His greatest stuff imo was in the Wired/Blow by Blow days. His work on 'cos we ended as lovers is awesome!!
- A great guitarist from these shores, one of our finest.
We are lucky to have him - he broke his back I believe many many years ago in a RTA.

Beej -

I have met him twice. He's got VERY much the rockstar vibe. He was pleasant to me, and the only reason I met him is because of Jennifer Batten (who is a great player and a very nice person). She's no longer playing with him, he went back to playing with Terry Bozzio and Tony Hymas the last tour (I think).

I also got him to say, Hi this is Jeff Beck and you're listening to the Guitar Shop on my mini disc recorder. :)

I find that a lot of my guitar gods/hero are best left "unmet," if you know what I mean. Eddie was not in a sober state, Yngwie was a total rock star, Lynch was a little "out of it." Granted, I met them at different NAMM shows and many people were not in their right minds - maybe even myself!!

Hah! That's great!

Glad he's back to the Guitar Shop lineup- look forward to good things from them.
