Can someone please tell me what the bridge and neck pups on the EVH read resistance wise? mine are at 18.2K bridge and 15.4K neck??? is this right:eek:I bought these used for my sterling AX-40 and am thinking i got duped? the base plates are black but could have been painted?, the only thing the bridge pup has to ID it is the B2 engraved and neck has N1 with a round patent sticker?
also what are the height settings from the factory for all the EVH ebmm's? thanks

Just did some searching. Looks like most folks are getting ~15k for the neck and ~17k for the bridge, so you're in the right ballpark. (I have a set of these lying around at home, but can't say I've ever measured them.) The N1/B1 markings are correct. If you posted pics of the pickups odds are someone would know if they're fakes, there are a few things you can often see.

Height wise, have a look at these threads:

thanks for the links Beej but are there any other indicators of original EVH pickups? I didn't see any in the links. I've been looking at/for used EVH's for a few months now and have seen some with broken solder joints and electric taped wires so I would assume those might be replacements. Just looking for a few more identifiers of originals if there are any that you can share.

Thanks for taking a look.
