They sure did. Brent had the best one ever. I'm sure he'll put a pic up for you. It was beautiful.

That one on ebay now is resonably priced as well, $3200 is not bad at all. you asked about a flame though, i have never seen a pink flame, just quilt.

edit..i take that back, i have now seen a pink flame...$5000 is a little steep, he will never get it! if that one sells for $5000, i'll shave my head.

I'll pitch in $200, but I get to keep the guitar!!

I love that thing. Alot of loot for me though. If someone would just buy my green one from me for $100,000 I could buy 100 guitars.

I know it's probably sacrilege around these parts... but I'd much rather have a brand spanking new Axis, a brand spanking new AL and a brand spanking new Petrucci 7 at the price of that ONE Pink flame EVH... Sorry, it just seems a bit silly to me!

Frankly, had the guitar not said EVH, any sane person would prefer the new and improved version (the Axis) to a decade old instrument with a few flaws - it is after all a used instrument.

Someone please explain to me the major difference between the Axis and the EVH - apart from the new switch placement, the slightly wider neck at the heel and the belly contour. I have tried the two instruments back to back and really felt no real difference between them - if anything, the Axis was more comfortable, due to the beer gut contour.

Sorry if I offended anyone - I am in no way anti-EVH (I seriously lusted for them, when they first came out), I just don't get the hype (compared to the Axis, that is).

Cheers

Eske

They are just expebsive because they are becoming collectors items. I would agree that the Axis is a better guitar in every way, and far cheaper! I love my EVH, but I bought it when they came out. No way would I pay through the nose for another one!

I have to agree !! The EVHs are amazing, and i own 15 of them !! but the Axis is the updated version, and they look, and play just as good as the EVHs !!

Definitely agree. I'd take a pink axis over an EVH, but I've never seen a pink axis. They are more comfortable.

I cringe everytime I see an EVH thread. Let's all show Big Poppa some respect and not discuss EVH with Poppa's bandwidth, as requested.
