I have a Music Man EVH model, serial number 80111 (made in july 1991). This was made in the first year of production & i am wondering if this increases its value (i have heard that first year models are more collectable)? I live in the UK & wonder if anyone knows how much this guitar should fetch if i decided to sell it? It's a red quilt top & has 2 of very tiny dings on the top & a couple of small scratches on the back. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's what you do, guv'nor.......Put it up on ebay with no reserve (make sure you give a detailed description and have nice, clear photos.) That's what it's worth, plain and simple. OR, put it up on ebay but with a high reserve just to see what someone would pay for it (your reserve won't be met so no worries about "losing" it.)

Jonny-

I collect, buy and sell these guitars. Value is placed primarily on the color of the top (Red) being a common color and how nice the quilt or flame and the overall condition- Trem vs hardtail is also a factor- Hardtails are rarer-

First years are no more valuable then last year production- However- it's cool and some people MAY pay a bit more-

The prices of these guitars are down right now- it's kind of a crapshoot- There is a red on ebay with a buy it now of 1500 and nobody is buying it- I have sold reds for more then that but again it really just depends on luck-

Send me photos if you have them to

Hey man, you are really screwed. The first year of production is a really bad year to have. No value at all.

I'll tell you what, you ship me the guitar and a couple hundred dollars, and I'll take it off your hands so you don't have to take any more of a loss on it.:D
