I'm talking to my mother's fiance about a bass, who happens to be a dealer.

Depending on a few conditions, it could be at my door in weeks! I'm not picky about finishes, so I'll take the ugly one!

I'm very excited.

Just because something is "ugly" doesen't make it any less desirable!! especially if it's a 'Ray.

Beauty is subjective, when I said ugly, I meant as in something that isn't visually appealing to me-somebody else might love it. Beauty is a nice thing to have, but I'm all about functionality. Don't get me wrong! EB Basses are beautiful too.


in example, I'm not a big fan of egyptian smoke.
But if I could have an ES SR5 HH at my door tommorow, it would be there!
All opinion.

I guess the nice way to say it is:
"I'll take the less desirable color."

for me though... functionality is paramount.

so if it's really horrible, I can see loving it as long as it sounds great.
So ugly it's awesome.

I might even like Egyptian smoke. Hey, it's pretty hot on a bongo!
