So BP's EQ advice did nothing to satisfy you?

I'm just like you though. I can't resist the sting of a ray.

Well, I really did take his advice to heart, and went back to A-B'ing between the two basses over the last couple of days...and it honestly came down to personal tone preference.

Everything else about the Bongo is what I look for in a bass...feel, looks, reliability, cool factor...and it cuts through the live mix better than just about any other bass on the market...it's just not quite my tone.

You've also got to consider that (on the flip-side) there are Bongo owners out there that tried to make a Stingray/Sterling/P-Bass/whatever work for them...and they keep coming back to the Bongo for at least one major reason (or a multitude of them).

Like someone else on mentioned on the other thread, at least I know what I'm after in a bass, and how to get my desired results.
