Ok, so I've never owned one, and I don't have the hype yet to be honest, but..
I know little about them..
I understand they produce a fair amount of resonance, or at least so I've heard people say.

Any other + or - ?? I don't even think I've ever played one..

I just wonder how it really works.. from boards to neck, soundwise and all that..

I have 2 guitars with all RW neck, and both are very different from a shape and sound perspective.

They sound darker than maple, since they lack "brightness" but, at the same time, they have a killer playability, a look which is superb and for playing rock they are truly something not to be missed.

So, try 'em out!!

I personally find a rosewood neck to add a very noticeable depth to the tone. Also both of the rosewood necked guitars I have owned were incredibly resonant. I would have to think the rosewood played a part in that.

+1 same experience. And the playability is fantastic and maintenance is a breeze!!!!

I honestly hear no difference between maple and rosewood. I have 2 MM guitars with maple, 2 with rosewood and another brand of guitar with 3 rosewood, 1 maple in that particular model and hear no difference.

Rosewood is a hardwood that is very stable and is naturally a little oily (not to the touch; at the internal micro level), so it is really maintenance free. My JP6 is all rosewood and neck is the best feeling / playing neck that I ever played. In fact, I bought the guitar because of the neck, classy floating bridge and locking tuners. Compared to my Silhoutte with maple neck and rosewood board, the JP6 feels / sounds a little "warmer" and really "cries" when digging into the blues with those hot pickups. If you can find one in all rosewood, pick it up, plug it in and enjoy. Lots of pictures here:

He's talking full rosewood neck, not fingerboard.

They sound less bright than maple and have more mids than mahogany. The feel is different since rosewood necks are completely unfinished. I really like the feel of unfinished rosewood but I don't like it that much more than the gunstock oil & wax on my Axis.

Variety is the spice of life.....................An all Rosewood neck feels and sounds awesome....., but so does the unfinished Maple necks on all of my Axis Tributes.......It's a personal preference....They are both very nice!!!! Get one of each!!!

Both of my Al's have all rosewood necks. The mint green HH was my first MM guitar. Since I don't have a maple necked Al to compare them to I can only chime in on the feel. They are so smooth. It really is one of the most inviting and tactile experiences I've ever had with a guitar. Now I have five MM guitars and two MM basses. These really started my obsession. It was quite the first impression.

My all rosewood neck BFR ASS has a deeper, low end tone than my maple BFR ASS. Can't explain it.....

I love the rosewood neck. Very smooth and warm sounding to me. Kind of a "spongey" feel to it that I really like.

TB ASS doesn't have the Mahogany Tone block if it was part of the limited Rosewood Neck run. It would be a BFR as the neck notates, but only the "standard" BFR models will have the tone block. However, if you had ordered an Emerald Burst BFR Axis/ASS during the All Rosewood window it would have had the tone block, but a standard Axis/ASS with the all rosewood neck option would not have had the tone block. It all depends on what the base model was before adding the all rosewood option.
