Fading

Why are EVH's prone to fading? Is this a common problem with Axis' too or did they change the finish techniques?

it looks cool like that....there was a shop by me that is a dealer that was trying to pass off an Axis sport that was purple and faded into greens and greys from sitting in the window for 4 or 5 years as a limited factory finish. That was sheisty.

Methinks purple tends to get beat up by the sun worse than most colors. This one probably was kept in direct sunlight for a long period of time.
