Fair price for dinged up used SR?

What would y'all offer for a dinged up SR in what looks to be Las Vegas gold? This is pre-compensated nut too. 3 or 4 chips go right to the wood right at the top edge (in playing position) of the body. They're about 3-5 mm in diameter. Then, there's another chip above (again, in playing position) the pickguard--about 3 mm in diameter. Sounds very good. Needs some set-up work--mostly just a truss rod tweak. Electronics seem to be in good condition. It's a 3-band. They're asking around $849.99. The strap buttons are like the ones that come with Schaller strap locks.

With chips all the way to the wood and with a neck that needs an adjustment?

Not me.

I'd offer 725 and MAYBE go to 750 if they gave me a reach-around with a strap or strings or something.

I've sold a boatload of SR4s in MINT shape for 850 - and bought a boatload, too.

YMMV, etc.

Thanks, Jack. I was thinking "No way" with that asking price, but it's just that--an asking price. At least, it allegedly comes with OHSC.
