These fake bongo's have popped up on the forum in the past. I guess people still get fooled by these, as they are still being sold. What a shame.

What genuinely surprised me is that I googled musicman bongo 6 and looked in images and there are ALOT of very poor fakes of the bongo. Don't know if its the same for other musicman instruments but the amount of fakes compared to genuine basses seemed very high.

Bongos do show up alot but everything worth a fair amount of money will get reproduced. Manny guitars and basses. But not only guitars. Key rule: if it looks too good to be true, 99.9% of the time it is.

Those tuning keys look ridiculous. It's a shame. I work at a music store I've seen guys almost in tears because they realize that they spent $2000 on a fake Les Paul Custom. Pretty bottom of the barrel moral compass on these bozos.

This bass makes me think of that company that you send your kids' picture of a monster to and they'll make you a stuffed animal of that monster... It's like a kid drew a Bongo and then they made the bass from that drawing...
